Gracie Gold is an American figure skater who is the 2012 World Junior silver medalist, winner of two Grand Prix events, and a two-time U.S. national champion. Born Grace Elizabeth Gold on August 17, 1995 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA, to parents Denise and Carl Gold, she has a fraternal twin sister, Carly, who is just 40 minutes younger than her. Her family moved to Springfield, Illinois when she was just four years old. She started skating at the age of 8. She attended Glenwood Senior High School in Chatham, Illinois until 9th grade. She then switched to online education from the University of Missouri High School. She made her international debut at the Junior Grand Prix in Estonia, and won the gold medal.
