Asin Thottumkal, widely known as Asin, is a former Indian actress. She began her acting career in the South Indian film industry. She has received three Filmfare Awards. Asin was born in Kochi, Kerala, India as Asin Thottumkal. Her father, Joseph Thottumkal, was a businessman, and her mother, Seline, was a surgeon. She has been married to Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma since 2016. She quit acting after the wedding.
